Happy New Year Friends,
Q&A for the Soul
Beneath the cold ground of winter, are your roots still growing?
What Last Forever? Are you Giving someone too much power? Do you decide how your day begins?
I genuinely hope you had time to recharge and spend time with family, chosen family or loved ones. I wish your New Year does not overwhelm you with an eagerness to solve the entire Year's agenda all at once. I know it's a danger, I did fall into that trap, and it didn't look pretty. We have 360 days, twelve months, four seasons, many /New Moons and Full Moons to accomplish everything.
The first New Moon of the Year is happening on Friday, a beautiful one, actually. The Theme of it has lots to do with self-improvement, innovation, and learning new things are highly supported at this time. Expand your toolbox.
This Moon also brings hopeful Delays and frustrated dynamics; this Full Moon's energy is driving with the breaks on but supports you in visualizing your new Year ahead.
The Moon is in the place of the sky called Purnarvasu Nakshatra, metaphorically speaking, this phase of the Moon means "make light again after a storm" and "delayed for a good reason." Haven't we had storms in North America…oh boi! We did experience the "storm of a decade," not to get too dramatic, but that's why my beautiful trip to Nova Scotia got cancelled. Did the Moon have something to do with it….Maybe!?
On this Purnarvasu full Moon, we celebrate the expansion, hope, infinite possibilities, and graceful delays. The power of the seed is growing, so be mindful of which thoughts you are watering this weekend.
This time of the Year is about drawing the outlines for the rest of the Year.
Where do I want to be, what do I want to learn, and with whom do I want to surround myself? Do you give yourself permission to have these conversations? Get back on your powerful Life-support!
If you need support and someone to be objective, you can join me in a four-week program. I would love to see you blossom.
In the break, I dwelled into Carl Jung and Karl Karányi; they brought you some fine food for thoughts, true treasures for your mind.
My ultimate favourite is the first quote: "How difficult it is to be simple?" In 2023 to be simple is just a challenge we don't even recognize. An actual radical act. So with these lines from Jung, I wish you a WonderFull Whole Year ahead.
"The simple acts make man simple, and how difficult it is to be simple!"
Carl Jung: Memories, Dreams, Reflections.
"The greatest and most important problems of Life are all in a certain sense, insoluble. They can never be solved, but only outgrown."
Carl Jung, Commentary on the Secret of the Golden Flower
"Wounded healer refers to the capacity of by to be at home in the darkness of suffering and there to find germs of light and recovery with which, as though by enchantment, to bring forth Asclepius, the sunlike healer."
Karl Kerényi, Asclepius: Archetypal Image of the Physician's Existence
