How does the concept of forgiveness reconcile justice with mercy in a Biblical context? The Cross is the Legal Right to Forgiveness.

Q&A for the Soul

Midwife of the Heart

Are you easily forgiving others? Do you know what was the original sin? Do you think it was Eve's fault for eating the forbidden apple? Should we blame the first man for anything? Adam?

Forgiveness is agreeing to live with the consequences of another person's sin. We are all living with the consequences of someone else's sin.

What is considered a sin?

The only choice we have is to stay in the bondage of bitterness or in the freedom of forgiveness.

Where is the justice, you might ask?

The Cross makes forgiveness legally right!

Jesus Loved you so much, he died for you and for all of our sins.

If forgiveness does not touch the emotional cords of your life, it might be incomplete. We are so afraid of the pain that we bury our emotions deep. I have experimented lately letting those emotions be brought up and letting God, through the Holy Spirit, heal those wounds.

Forgiveness is choosing not to hold someone's sin against him or her anymore. It is common to hold bitterness and bring up past offences against those who have hurt us.

But what if God set you up for His greatest miracle, for your biggest testimony?

This is what the word said in

Genesis 50:20

You intended to harm me, But God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Meditate on this, slowly...

Exercise grace and protect yourself from further abuse, once you choose to forgive, the enemy loses a hold on your mind, emotions, and reactions and God's peace can enter your life and begin the necessary healing. Make the hard choice, and forgive even if you don't feel like it.

If this is your last day on Earth, who would you forgive, one person today, who would that be? Would you set them and yourself free?

Original Sin - Adam and Eve

The original sin is a complex act, Temptation, disobedience, saying yes to the occult, to the forbidden knowledge, and yes to power gain all in one action.

The consequences are still in humanity's DNA.

Imagine you lived in a perfect garden, balanced, and lush, you never run out of things all your needs are being met all the time. All Needs! This is the picture of Eden.

Self-conscience is represented in scripture by nakedness, after eating the apple, the first couple's eyes are open to their nakedness and pride enters the game.

This is how Eden looked!

It is a lovely place!

Now, should we blame Adam, for his disobedience to God and lack of awareness, should we hold him accountable, for not preserving this perfect Eden and regulating his helper Eve? Wanting to impress the woman by taking a (bite) bullet for-with her?

Should you blame your husband for his shortcomings, and free fallings or just forgive him?

What would God do? What will we do?

Until next time stay Blessed and pray and contemplate on Love

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Corinthians 13:4
