Dear Friend,
Are you engaging with hope? What gives you hope? What actions do you take to cultivate hope? How is your relationship with trust? Is hope a skill? Is hope a feeling?
Is hope faith? What is hope for you?
đ
In her recent book, The Hope, Jane Goodall describes hope as âa survival skill that enables us to keep going in the face of adversity. Hope enables us to cope in the face of adversityâ.
Simply feeling and planning to act already sets stagnation and hopelessness into motion. Action absorbs anxiety, so we can breathe again and move forward with our lives.
My favourite relationship expert, Esther Perel, inspired todayâs topic on hope. The link to her workshop on hope is linked down below. Enjoy her wisdom.
According to Esther Perel:
Crisis recovery formula = hope + faith + planning + action
This line from the workshop especially resonated on many levels.
âCan we trust without risk, and can we risk without trust?â
The ancient linguistic meaning of the word "hope" was used to express trust; If trust equals hope, let me put it this way for you;
Can we hope without risk, and can we risk without hope?
Think about it for a minute! Let it sink in.
Christmas can be a phase in a year where hope is lost and found; it is the season where the path is lost for a brief moment. However, the directionless inner silence and stillness we experience during the winter months donât mean nothing is happening. This is time for miracles, and a lot is happening behind the scenes. It is the time to feel the Love around you! This is the season when our inner light can be reborn out of the darkness. I want you to cultivate the energy of hope and trust that it will reveal your next steps at the right time. Start planning, so your thoughts can be nourished, put into action and manifested into your reality.
So much Love!
