1Corinthians13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is Love.

Why is Love so important? How do we make Love our guiding principle?

We all crave connection, love and instant gratification. Recognizing a good connection takes time. True Love requires us to go beyond the superficial.

This week's Podcast is about to reveal how to go beyond superficial Love!!!

Apostle Paul talks about 15 Qualities of

Love:

patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, not proud, not dishonour others, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, (Love has amnesia!!) Love protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres.

Love is an action word, yet gentle and a decision to embrace.

Even when qualities like patience, and kindness are humbly challenged or seem impossible to embrace in the marriage, in raising the children, it is still an active choice to be still and choose patience and kindness instead of rage. Love is not a destination but a continuous journey. Love has the ability to build bridges. Faith and Hope are essentials in our walk of life too but Apostle Paul suggests Love goes beyond faith and hope. How do we put the ancient practices of Love into practice?

Intellectually understanding 1Corinthians13 is one thing, the overall message of this scripture is to become better, but how do we get there?

Love is a practice, an action word.

Loving is not easy but letting go of our discomforts, jealousy, comparison, judgement; and instead, celebrating our shared journey is Love in action.

The toolkits for thriving in loving different personalities is

Patience; becomes important when we see our loved ones struggling, or making choices we don't understand.

Kindness offers support or encouragement when we don't agree.

Forgiveness becomes essential to rebuild trust.

Love is a choice and a commitment.

Love invites us to transcend, to prioritize the well-being of our loved ones when we choose patience over anger, kindness over indifference, and forgiveness over resentment we demonstrate the transcendental power of Love.

It is an act of choice every day, how to navigate the challenges at work, in your family, personal life, Paul's message has implications for all these areas to create a compassionate life.

1Corinthians

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

I came across this incredible touching Theological conversation on social media. I Had to write down the script. If you hold a piece of your broken heart for whatever reason in your hands right now over this Holy day season, imagine this ...

I don't think anyone has experienced more break-ups than God. I can imagine how it feels to Love someone so much even before they existed only for them to leave and chase those who choose to walk away, chase those who don't even see their values, when there is a God who sees them as perfect. Why do we reject love from the one who identified as Love, only to accept something mediocre?

Like how many people have offered you the World and actually meant it?

But No big favour in return just time and attention throughout your 24-hour day, a chance to be invited into your secret place.

No gifts, no presents.

I mean everything is already His anyway. How does He get His heart so many times broken and still manage to be Love, I wonder how He feels when we sit in his presence with receiving hands and we disappear without saying; Thank you, when we get what we want.

I wonder if He ever feels annoyed, I wonder how frustrating it is when He is asked to speak but gets rushed.

How does he feel when we cut him off mid-sentence because we are too tired to read a chapter of his word, I wonder how He feels to be hated by those He Loves to have to hold back from showering them with His blessings because He wasn't the choice.

Or because they deny his existence.

I wonder how He feels when the child he created grows up and leaves Him because free will was the closest thing the devil could make look like....Heaven...

🤍

Love might feel like an easy answer, but the application is more complicated, Love can heal personal and societal wounds, Love is the only thing that can heal.

If you read it this far, I thank you so much, I truly appreciate your time in this season of anticipation, chaos, busyness, preparation, advent and Christmas.

I wish you a splendid, Blessed - Holy time preparing for the Holy Days.

 🤍

I am curious about your Victorius testimony, or the mountains you are facing, maybe that is all you see now... but be assured that on the other side is the Valley of Peace. If you feel encouraged hit reply and share it with me, I would love to encourage victory over your challenge.

And if you felt that this message blessed you share it with a friend! Someone might need it!

 🤍

Until next time stay Blessed and pray and contemplate on Love

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
